A Taste of Crete at Anuga 2025

The Greek delegation at Anuga 2025 in Cologne offered visitors a true Mediterranean experience through flavors inspired by Crete’s sustainable cuisine. Guests at the MESA stand (Hall 5.2 – A013) enjoyed authentic dishes prepared with local, organic ingredients — such as traditional vegetable pies and Cretan “dakos” rusks topped with tomato, mizithra cheese, and extra virgin olive oil.

Each tasting embodied the project’s mission: to connect gastronomy with sustainability, biodiversity, and tradition. The event celebrated the rich agri-food culture of Crete and its role within the MESA project, which brings together the islands of Crete, Sardinia, and Mallorca to promote eco-friendly farming and climate-conscious production.
