Mallorca Olive Oil

The cultivation of olive trees and the production of oil in Mallorca extend across the entire island, thanks to its exceptional geo-climatic characteristics.

Mallorca Olive Oil has held a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) since 2002, in accordance with European Union regulations, as it is an agricultural product native to the region, whose quality and characteristics are primarily determined by the geographical environment in which it is produced, influenced by both natural and human factors.

Mallorca Olive Oil is an extra virgin olive oil obtained from the fruit of Olea Europaea L., specifically from the Mallorquina, Empeltre, Arbequina, and Picual varieties, using physical processes that ensure the oil retains the aroma, flavor, and characteristics of the olives from which it is derived.

This oil is an essential ingredient in Mallorcan cuisine, its flavor best enjoyed in salads or in the traditional “pa amb oli”—bread rubbed with tomato, sprinkled with salt, and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, typically served with cured meats, cheeses, and olives.
