World Food Day:
Celebrating Sustainability with the MESA Project

On this World Food Day, October 16th, we shine a light on the incredible work being done through the MESA Project to promote sustainable farming practices across the Mediterranean islands.

The MESA Project’s focus on biodiversity, the non-use of harmful pesticides, and climate-friendly techniques helps protect local ecosystems while ensuring a brighter future for agriculture.

Farmers in Crete, Mallorca and Sardinia are embracing eco-friendly methods that nurture the land and preserve native species. By reducing reliance on pesticides and investing in sustainable agriculture, they are producing high-quality agri-food products, including olive oil, that contribute to a resilient and environmentally-friendly future
